Beneficiary Designations

Here are four simple ways to create a lasting legacy with UJA-Federation without creating or changing a will.

Retirement plan: Name UJA-Federation of New York as a recipient on the designation form supplied by the trustee or custodian of an IRA, 401(k), or other retirement plan.

Life insurance policy: Name UJA-Federation of New York on the beneficiary-designation form provided by life insurance professional.

Bank or brokerage account: Title or retitle a bank account, brokerage account, or stock certificate as POD (payable on death) or TOD (transfer on death) to UJA-Federation of New York.

Donor advised fund: Name UJA-Federation of New York as the charitable successor/beneficiary of donor-advised fund (DAF) on the form provided by DAF manager.

These methods are easy and free and may reduce estate taxes. Most forms can be found online and, in some cases, may be edited with no legal fees involved. Please contact us for more information on beneficiary designations!
